I often wonder if most bloggers have some sort of time frame that they implement into there blogging Schedule. Knowing when your next blog will be published will maintain a constant flow, for the people who visit your site.
Choosing a specific day out of the week, would be a good idea, this way you will be better focus on your next article. By doing this your readers will know exactly when your next blog post will be published and will be eager to read it. This process will keep your readers coming back and will have a significant impact on your blog.
Consistency is the key word here and, should always be a very important factor when blogging. If people see that you are always adding new content this will make them visit your blogs more often and, you will gain more readers. There is no such thing as publishing to many blogs, the more content you add to your blog, the better it is for your readers. People love bloggers that have a lot of content, just because it gives them a place were they can go for information and a resource.
You are not answering your own question, you might say okay – you are right; so, again – how often should you publish a blog post? The answer might lies in the type of blogs you have.
If you run a personal blog, a blog post every 2 or 3 days is recommended by some experienced bloggers. However, if you run a news-style blog that loves to break news and updates to your readers in the speed of light, the more you post, the better (therefore most news-style blogs are multi-authored to keep up with the demand.)
IS THERE A RELATION BETWEEN POSTING FREQUENCY AND BLOG TRAFFIC? The answer is yes. HOWEVER, frequently updated blogs are not necessarily better-trafficked than the less updated ones.
If the seldom-updated blogs have their blog posts rank in top search engine ranking for various keywords, such blogs will get a healthy amount of traffic – better than the often-updated ones.
That being said, in general, the more you post the more you attract readers. For example, if you schedule your blog posts to be published every 12 hours (twice a day,) there are chances you can attract readers from different timezones.
